Overview

(*we use the term Black here in its political sense to describe individuals who are racialised and experience racism)

To provide support and strategies for Black Asian and other ethnic background staff who have experienced racialised trauma.

The intention of this workshop is to create an accepted, confidential and therapeutic space to support those who are impacted by racism, to  reflect on their experiences and what might help to resource them.

Course Objectives:

  • reflect on the challenges of the workplace
  • recognise the personal costs of racism and contemplate the development of personal strategies which might help to mitigate this
  • offer opportunities to collectively reflect on how the organisation might be more proactive in its response
