Annual Nurses Update

Overview

The Annual Nurse Update provides the essential update training for the Adult Wards, Outpatients, and Community nurses to deliver safe, competent and a high standard of care within the organisation.  It can be used for Nursing and Midwifery Council's (NMC) revalidation.

This is a two-day update programme.

Day 1 - The first day will be focussed on Core Mandatory Training (CMT) topics and support for staff to complete their e-Learning compliance of the Trust.

Day 2 - The second day is a simulation-based session with a variety of scenarios covering a wide range of clinical topics throughout the day.

The update will refresh previously acquired knowledge, skills and behaviours to develop, improve and to critically reflect on the current best practice.    

The programme incorporates a Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) session of restorative clinical supervision.
